Music Video for Halden Electric

My friend Anders Svendsen from Halden Electric asked me if i wanted to make a music video for the song “Always You” from his latest album “Women”. I love the album, and the song. So even if i had never made a music video before, and had no idea what i was doing, i had to give it a try. It was more difficult than i thought it would be, but also a lot of fun.

The album is amazing. So you should check it out if you haven´t already. It´s available on Itunes and Spotify. If you want to get the CD i am sure you can contact Anders on Facebook.

More photos from “Høvdinger”

Irasj Asanti has invited me back on the set of his movie “Høvdinger” a few times to shoot more pictures. It´s been a lot of fun following this project. Some pics from the set below.

Snasen played an amazing concert at the Øya festival last night, and i got to shoot some pictures. Wasn´t the easiest light to shoot in, but i managed to get a couple of decent shots.

The old post office in Halden

The old post office in Halden was built in 1939. During World War II it functioned as the headquarters for the German Security Police. They had their offices there, and also prison cells and torture chamber. Several Norwegians were jailed, interrogated and tortured there. One of them was my grandfather Paul Kjellin (born 05.22.07). He was a member of Milorg, the Norwegian military resistance, and XU which was the allied intelligence organization. He was arrested in 08.21.1944, and was held for 8 days in the old post office where he was subjected to torture by the Security Police. He was then transferred to Grini, and later to SS-Sonderlager Mysen. He survived the war, but his medical condition was poor when he returned home. He only lived another two years, and passed away in 1947.

Today it is a storage for a local hardware store, and there are very few reminders left of the old post office and it´s part in history. I went there with my faher Paal. Although he grew up in Halden, this was his first time visiting the basement of the post office, where his father was held.

Training in Tokyo: Bungeling Bay

Just got back from vacationing in Tokyo with Jakub “Kuba” Grzegorzek, who went there to train with his old coach Joachim Hansen. We were lucky enough to get to visit some great gyms, with fantastic people and incredibly talented fighters. I am going to post some pictures from each gym, starting with Bungeling Bay.

Situated in Ebisu, a trendy area of Shibuya, Bungeling Bay is kickboxing veteran Akeomi Nitta´s gym. Nitta, who is best known abroad for his fights with Ramon Dekkers and Kit Cope, runs a kickboxing gym (and creative outlet for some pretty amazing decoration skills) that hosts top level fighters in kickboxing and MMA.
